Common Names: AXP Jaboticaba
AXP is a legendary jaboticaba created right here in Australia by the Trenerry brothers in QLD and now world famous. It is famous for its beautiful striped skin and its ability to fruit much faster than old school varieties. If you want a tree that looks as good as the fruit tastes, this is the one for your garden. Very similar to Scarlet, possible shared parentage

AXP Jaboticaba is great for highly demanding and impatient gardeners. While most jaboticabas take a decade to fruit, some AXP seedlings have been known to pop out fruit in just two and a half years in tropical climates.
The fruit is small but packs a punch with a super sweet flavour. The skin often has cool stripes, making it stand out from the plain purple types. These trees love lots of water and organic mulch to keep their roots happy in some shade.
Interesting Notes:
The name AXP comes from its parents, likely being a mix of Aureana and Phitrantha. It was sent from Australia to the USA before becoming a global favorite. Just keep in mind that seeds from an AXP tree might not grow up to be exactly like the parent, so every seedling is a bit of a genetic lucky dip. Some special types like AXP Taiwan Rosa have been picked out for their extra bright pink and red colors.
