Yellow Banksia Rose is a tough, fast-growing climbing rose that does brilliantly in Perth gardens. It covers itself in a massive display of tiny, double-yellow blooms every spring for around 2 months of flowering.

Petals are edible and leaf is good for  tea. 

The best part for Aussie backyards is that it is virtually thornless, making it easy to prune and handle along fence lines or arches without getting shredded.

Yellow Banksia rose is a hardy, long-lived climber that thrives once established. It handles warm, dry Perth summers with regular watering and isn't picky about soil as long as it drains well. Use it to quickly green up a bare colorbond fence, ramble over a patio pergola, or trail down a big retaining wall.

Interesting Notes:
Unlike standard garden roses, Banksia rose petals are completely thornless on mature growth, so you won't need heavy leather gloves every time you train a stem. The tiny petals are edible and can be harvested to press into crafts or sprinkle over summer salads.
