These assorted papaya trees are a lucky dip for your garden. We do not know the specific variety, so each tree is a surprise. They grow fast and love the heat in Perth. These trees are great for filling a sunny spot and getting a tropical look in your backyard.

Papaya trees have big umbrella leaves and soft trunks. Since these are assorted, the fruit might be yellow or red inside. They need very good drainage because they hate wet feet in winter. Plant them in a warm spot away from the wind. They are heavy feeders and love a good mulch.

Interesting Notes:

Papaya is a superfood that is great for digestion. You can eat the ripe fruit for breakfast or use green fruit in a spicy salad. Even the seeds are edible and taste a bit like black pepper. These trees are short lived but they grow so fast you will have plenty of fruit in no time. Sometimes less than 1 year.
