Poshte Small

Poshte custard apple is one of the rarest annonas, prized for its large size, thick shell, and smooth, creamy pulp with a rich custard flavour. Native to Central America, it is little known in Australia but well worth growing for collectors who want something special. The fruit has few seeds, excellent eating quality, and keeps better than most other custard apples. Trees are hardy once established and can be kept at a manageable size with pruning.

Tastes like denser and creamier than the more common sugar or custard apple. The taste combines vanilla custard, caramel, and a mild banana note.
