Tokay Flame seeded Grape

Botanical Name: Vitis vinifera Ahmeur bou Ahmeur

Common Names: Flame Tokay, Tokay, Red Tokay

Flame Tokay is a sweet, crunchy red grape that loves the Perth sun. It grows fast and looks great on a fence. It has seeds, but the flavour is better than shop fruit. It is a bit of a seedy character but very tough and reliable.

Features:

Prune to 2 or 3 metres in full sun. It likes a pH of 6.5 and a 50L pot. You will get fruit in 2 years.

This vine makes excellent shade for your patio. It is the dad of the seedless grapes you see at the deli and handles our heat well.

Interesting Notes:

The thick skin helps stop birds from eating your harvest. It is a great choice for a low fuss backyard.

In Oz, we call this wine Tokay Topaque now.
