The dwarf tamarillo is a hardy, fast growing shrub that fits well in any Perth garden. It is much smaller than the regular tamarillo, making it perfect for smaller spaces or big pots. You get clusters of bright orange fruit that taste like a sweet, mild tomato. It is a great choice if you want something different and easy to grow.

Dwarf tamarillo plants grow fast and love a bit of attention. They handle our sandy soil well if you add plenty of compost. Keep them watered during hot summer days to get the best fruit. They can be grown in pots on a patio or tucked into a garden bed.
Interesting Notes:
The fruit is super versatile. You can eat it raw, put it in salads, or use it for chutneys and jams. Because the plant stays small, you do not need a ladder to pick the fruit. It is a fantastic plant for kids to help with in the garden.
