Ross Sapote is a top choice for Perth gardens. It is like a canistel but better. The fruit is moist and not dry or mealy. It tastes like sweet caramel or pumpkin pie. Some say it even tastes like a latte. It is a slow growing tree that stays small. This makes it perfect for a backyard or a large pot.

It often splits at the top when it is ready to eat. The flesh is very creamy and smooth. It is much better than the dry eggfruit types. The tree can handle our heat if given regular water in summer.
