Strawberries are easy-to-grow, highly productive fruit plants that thrive in Perth’s climate. They yield sweet, juicy red berries across spring and summer. These seedlings are ideal for garden beds, pots, hanging baskets, or vertical strawberry towers.

Time to fruit age: 3-4 months from planting

Strawberry plants develop lush trifoliate leaves, small white blossoms, and sweet berries throughout the warmer months. They spread naturally by sending out runners, allowing you to multiply your crop each season. Keep soil moist and well-drained, feed regularly during flowering, and mulch with straw to protect the ripening fruit.

Interesting Notes:

Strawberries are not true berries in botanical terms, as their seeds grow on the outside of the fruit. The leaves can also be brewed into a mild herbal tea.
