Flaming Crimson Jaboticaba

A rare hybrid jaboticaba bred from the famous Brazilian  large red fruiting (Plinia phitrantha 'ESALQ') and the Giant Red Crystal (Plinia phitrantha).

Flaming Crimson blends the early fruiting trait of ESALQ with the large fruit size and complex flavour of Red Crystal. Deep red fruits with a translucent crimson glow burst from the trunk and branches, often fruiting multiple times a year when mature. Grows fast in warmth, fruits young, and can be kept compact. Faster growing than all of the more common jaboticabas.

Does well outdoors in Perth's winters in a protected space. Shelter from temperatures over 38c.
