Also known as Native Mangosteen or Twin Mangosteen
Garcinia warrenii is a rare Australian native fruit tree producing small, round reddish-purple fruit with tart-sweet pulp. Related to tropical mangosteen, it thrives in warm, humid regions and produces edible fruit prized for bushfood and preserves. The tree is evergreen, with glossy dark green leaves and bright yellow or orange new growth. It’s slow-growing but highly ornamental and suitable for protected spots in warm gardens or larger pots.
