Native fruit shrub, to Kimberly region and Qld, NT - great for a bushfood garden. The Orangeberry is a tough Aussie that gives you tiny, juicy berries with a flavour that is sweet and a bit like honey and citrus all mixed up. It's a top choice if you want something different that's easy to grow.

The Orangeberry is a slow-growing evergreen that stays a good, manageable size. It is a member of the citrus family and has glossy, aromatic leaves. It gets little fragrant white flowers in spring, followed by the small orange to pink fruit. It loves well-drained soil and will handle a bit of dry weather once it's set up.
Interesting Notes:
The berries are best eaten straight off the bush, but they also make a jam or jelly.
