Pepper vine is a highly productive climbing plant grown for its famous black, white, and green peppercorns. A tropical evergreen, it thrives in warm, humid conditions but can be grown in pots and protected areas in cooler climates. This vigorous vine requires a support structure and well-drained, fertile soil to flourish. It begins producing pepper clusters within 3-4 years, with regular pruning keeping it manageable at 2-3 metres. Ideal for home spice production, this plant adds both ornamental and culinary value to any garden. Can be left outside in Perth with protection for heat and cold, under shade.
